boys in bows
The bowtie trend which I saw earlier in the spring still seems to be going strong. Now paired with shorts it seems like an ironic statement on formal wear. Personally I prefer the NY Yankee cap to the cummberbund as a way to accessorize.

These girls are cool but I'm not sure what I think about paper bag shorts (that are highwaisted and gather at top - like a tied bag). I applaud her daring but...any thoughts? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

You are so damaged
Okay, maybe you're not. Maybe I'm projecting. OR maybe I'm referring to the trend of ripped jeans and tights. I think this is an international trend born of the recession with a knowing nod to punk and grunge. I love it. I love imperfection. And love that instead of tossing tights with a run I can just add more and make a fashion statement. Perfect, lovely - perfectly lovely.

It's about the sunglasses
When it's so bright out the only thing to wear is extra large sunglasses. I know that 80s is coming in strong but I hope these 70s style superbig frames stay in style...forever. I *love* them! And the girl's black velour jumpsuit. brilliant. And she reminds me of my friend Dahlia.
